It was a tough decision, trying to start my own on-line shop. Of course, like most things, my bright idea did not come at a good time in my life. Not an opportune time to be investing/tying up money. But just like getting a dog or having kids…is there ever a really good time? Or like home improvements…when you have the time, you don't have the money….when you have the money, you don't have the time. I decided to go for it. Has been like going back to school and getting a crash course. I have always thought of myself as relatively computer savvy…but this adventure has shown me I am a little more out of touch with today's technologies than I realized. Somedays I feel like I am failing…even though I just began. With everything today being instant gratification, it is hard to exercise patience. My shop has officially been open on-line for just over a month now. I get disappointed when I check how many times my items been viewed or my websites been visited…especially days when those numbers are under 10. I have to remind myself that some things take time. I worry though every/any day the number of 'clicks' is less than the day before. I defeat myself. In my mind, I say things like, 'there we go, its already over' or "yeah, this was a bright idea." I have to remind myself that there is always tomorrow and there are more things look into and try not to obsess over these tiny early details. Although I have my dreams of some day opening a physical shop that specializes in all kinds of wedding and special occasion items both custom and run of the mill…but in reality, I know I will be lucky to just cover my cost of this adventure.

So, today I am working on making more websites. With each item I had changed or linked together it seemed up my visibility. So today I am working on creating additional websites to add even more visibility. After all, its a numbers game. The more times my stuff comes up in searches the more people see it and the more people see it, the more likelihood of getting orders.
